Frankly, if you ended up with such a life as a child, because of your parents, it’s not your fault, since the brains of children before puberty are meant to believe and trust their parents. It’s for efficiency reasons. You can’t check everything for yourself, can you? This is also partially true for schools.
So in those cases, they are to blame, because you hadn’t developed an own sense of right and wrong yet.
Sadly, most people apparently never do.

Since Zappa was himself a parent, I suspect he knew that babies and young children are not expected to discriminate about what to believe without some guidance…
I presume he meant that, *once you are able to discriminate*, it’s your own fault if you carry on believing other people’s sh!t.

Why is there dutch subtitles in the movie? Well it’s freaking hilarious though…
The Youtube sreenshot shows Dutch subtitles. And they are pretty weird. Something like “You pulled the chain Jimmy was wearing through his nipples” I haven’t seen the vid, but, WTF???!
It’s not weird when that is actually what Zappa says. This guy is whack, he actually said the “firmly erected nipples of Jimmy” but that was too long for the subs. i’m dutch and my dogs called Zappa after this hero but thats none of your god damn business!

because its from a live show and its shown on dutch tv. the lyrics are very important…haha also, he had far more success in europe throughout his career. bobby brown was HUGE in germany and scandanavia. as was the album this tune originally appeared on (sheik Yerbouti)
Cause the dutch are almost the only non-english speaking country in europe that doesnt dub all their programs. Dont know bout the scandinavian countries though.
Norway doesn’t dub either, with the exception of kid shows.

subtitles say asshole = holtor in dutch, but holtor means assbeetle.
